Work package 5 РDevelop methods to include context, setting, and implementation in the assessment of complex technologies

Work package 5 (WP5) aims to extend systematic review methodology beyond questions of effectiveness, by developing and testing methods to include context, setting and implementation in the assessment of complex technologies. In particular, WP5 will (i) develop templates and application guidance for logic models, (ii) define and operationalise key domains of context and implementation, (iii) conduct a qualitative or mixed-method systematic review concerned with selected aspects of context and implementation, and (iv) develop a tool to rapidly assess context- and implementation-specific factors. Guidance across these different methodological aspects will be tested in the case study on palliative care and in additional systematic reviews of complex interventions.
