The Health Technology Assessment (HTA) unit is part of the Department for Health Evidence of Radboud University Medical Centre. It hosts approximately 20 researchers, including PhD students, post-doctoral fellows and staff members with expertise in the areas of health economics, psychology, mathemetics, policy sciences, ethics, and health sciences. Its members work in close collaboration with clinicians, trying to investigate the added value of specific health care technologies, including drugs, medical devices, and cognitive or behavioural therapies. In addition, its members are involved in teaching the theory and practice of HTA to students of health sciences, medicine, and dentistry.
